Crunchy Apple Tuna Salad

Sometimes, we overcomplicate meals when all we really need is to go back to basics. This Crunchy Tuna Salad is proof that simple ingredients can still be delicious and satisfying. Packed with protein, a perfect crunch, and just a touch of sweetness, it’s the perfect meal when you're short on time but still want something nutritious. Whether you enjoy it on toast, in a wrap, or straight from the bowl, this quick and easy recipe will become a go-to favorite!


Ingredients:

  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • ¼ cup celery, finely chopped

  • ¼ cup apple, finely diced (Honeycrisp or Fuji work great!)

  • 2 tbsp red onion, finely chopped

  • Salt & pepper to taste


Optional Add-Ins:

  • Crunch: Chopped walnuts, pecans, or sunflower seeds

  • Sweetness: A handful of dried cranberries or grapes

  • Creaminess: A small scoop of cottage cheese or avocado

  • Extra flavor: A dash of garlic powder or a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning


Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix tuna, mayo (or yogurt), Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until combined.

  2. Stir in celery, apple, red onion, and any optional add-ins.

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
