Should I Travel With Kids?

Yes!! But let’s talk about it.

Traveling with kids can sound like a challenge, but it’s also one of the best gifts you can give your family. The key is to plan with intention, stay flexible, and focus on making memories — not perfection.

You know your kids better than anyone. So when it comes to traveling, take that into consideration: nap times, energy levels, and what kind of schedule works best for them (and for you).

I’ve had many friends tell me they don’t travel because they’re nervous about flying with little ones. But here’s my perspective: a few hours on a plane can lead to days filled with laughter and new experiences. Don’t worry about what other people think on the plane, you are never going to see them again!

Remember, you’re creating your child’s childhood memories. Traveling with kids might not be as spontaneous as a solo trip, but it’s just as special — you’ll share new foods, discover new places, and see the world through their curious eyes.

Don’t wait for “when they grow up.” You’ll travel then too, but your kids won’t be the same curious little people who get excited to feed pigeons on the street or hold your hand while exploring a new city. Enjoy this stage and make the most of it.

Of course, not every moment will be picture-perfect. There will be tantrums, long waits, and the occasional meltdown. But in between, there will also be countless little moments that make it all worth it — smiles, hugs, and laughter in unexpected places.

We’ve been traveling a lot lately, and I’ve learned that being prepared makes all the difference. Here are some of my favorite travel products for kids that help make life on the go a whole lot easier 👇

  1. Travel Stroller A must-have! Airports can mean long walks — perfect for snacks, naps, or just keeping them safe and close in busy areas. This one folds super small, and we got a backpack for easy carry-on.

  2. Travel Snack Container Divided compartments keep snacks organized and mess-free — ideal for flights or car rides. Plus, it helps avoid sibling fights! I just open a bag of snacks and give each their own container.

  3. Water Bottle You’re going to need this everywhere you go — stay hydrated and refill as you travel.

  4. Kids’ Headphones We only use these on the plane, and they love them!

  5. Reusable Sticker Books or Travel Toys Quiet, compact, and perfect for keeping little hands busy anywhere.

  6. Travel Bed Soft, cozy, and great for helping kids feel comfortable and sleep better — even on the plane.

  7. Toilet Covers If your kids are out of diapers, you need these! We can use any public restroom and I feel comfortable letting my daughter go with these — they’re amazing.
